PARDONER ARE YOU FREE TONIGHT?

San Francisco quartet Pardoner announce their fourth album Peace Loving People and share new single 'Are You Free Tonight?'. Pardoner have been making consistently strong noisy indie-rock since 2017 and their new record is shaping up continue that streak, the new single starting as a blast of nostalgic 90s alt-rock centred around melodic fuzzed out guitars and singer Max Freedman's disaffected vocals before abruptly changing pace midway through careering into out and out punk track, combining Pardoners knack for jangling pop and ferocious noise. “One of many on the album about our generation, the things we do to get by, and how we’re all goin nowhere fast,” the band’s Freedman said of the track. “Kinda shows the 2 poles of our sound, from something warm and saccharine to something more sinister and violent. It’s a little funny, a little sad, some parts are weird, some parts are normal. We hope you like the record and if you don’t you can throw it around like a frisbee.” The new album was recorded entirely on an 8 track cassette recorder with producer Jack Shirley (who has recorded all of their albums so far), and set for release on 23rd June on Bar/None records.
